What is the lead time for customised orders?

Approximately 2-4 weeks depending on the product. The anticipated lead time will be stated on the invoice. YSD will inform the customer of any delays.

What Payment Methods do you Accept?

  • Unfortunately, we do not accept cash

What is the process when buying a YSD Upholstered products?

Standard Pieces:

A style or item is selected by the client. The Client selects a size or variation (if necessary and where possible)

The client will select a fabric or alternatively supply their own fabric. YSD will quote accordingly. (24 -48 hrs turnaround time)

The lead time will be discussed and approved. The deposit is paid when the order is placed. We require 2-4 weeks for delivery, dependant on the order size. The client will be notified before delivery to pay the outstanding balance.

Customized pieces

Design inspiration, sizes and quantities are given and discussed. The fabric is selected or supplied. YSD prepares the quotes accordingly (24 – 48hrs turnaround time). For larger projects, a mock-up will be made and approved by the client before the continuation of the order. Once approved, a deposit is paid. Depending on the size of the order 2-4weeks or 4-8 weeks lead time for delivery – The client will be informed of the estimated completion date. The client will be notified before delivery to pay the outstanding balance.

What is your Refund Procedure and Policies?

No special orders will be subject to exchange/return/refund. Should the customer change their mind about a purchase but the product is unflawed or undamaged YSD is not obliged to accept the return or offer a refund.

Do you offer Extended Protections/Solutions for Fabrics?

We can offer Scotch Guarding and Protex solutions at an additional fee. Clients must ensure if they supply their own fabric that it will need to be preshrunk before hand.

Do you offer gift-vouchers?

Yes – We do offer gift vouchers to a minimum value of R520.00

What is your Refund Policy?

No special orders will be subject to exchange/return/refund. Should the customer change their mind about a purchase but the product is unflawed or undamaged YSD is not obliged to accept the return or offer a refund.

Is there a deposit?

Yes, we require a 50% deposit on order and 50% balance before delivery. Smalls in store will require 100% payment.

How do I Exchange and Return a product?

YSD is unable to exchange goods where product characteristics and/or imperfections were pointed out prior to purchase.

No special orders will be subject to exchange/return/refund. Physically altered or partially disassembled product may not be returned. Should the customer change their mind about a purchase but the product is unflawed or undamaged YSD is not obliged to accept the return. Products purchased during the annual sale will be subject to the terms and the conditions of the sale.

What Warranty do I get with a purchase?

Lifetime Guarantee on the frame.

No Guarantee on fabrics or leather used to upholster the product.

Upholstered furniture frame is warranted from the date of delivery/collection in respect of the frame and craftsmanship. The warranty does not extend to the fabric or leather used to upholster the product as this is subject to wear and tear associated with use. Furthermore, usage and treatment in the customer’s environment is beyond YSD’s control.

Does YSD offer Interior Design or Room Decorating and Design?

Yes, we can offer a turnkey solution for people who are not designers and need some advice and assistance. Furniture design, Layouts, Manufacture and Installation.
